Routine tree management carried out next to water courses and wet agricultural land, recovering whole trees, including branches, brash and trunks. We transform this product into a fuel, that can be used in biomass boiler to produce heat. Our specialised equipment allows us access to otherwise unobtainable wood sources, due to the low ground pressure specialisations, that reduce the ground damage caused by our machinery.  

We are regarded as the Wombles of the woodchip chip world, providing quality chip from wood that would otherwise be scrapped and burnt.

Contract Wood Chipping Service

For those with a biomass boiler, Chessgrove Woodchip offers a contract wood chipping service, producing-even sized chips in G30 sizes. Even sized chips are important because they assist burning.

We use a Claas Xerion 4500 Trac VC Tractor and Mus Max Wood Terminator 11XL with crane and grab, plus we can also chip up logs using our special grab. Any oversize logs can be bought back to our yard to split.

Using tractors instead of lorries, we are easily able to access most sites without any trouble, and our vehicles are fitted with low compaction tyres to minimise soil damage. The high-capacity machinery means we can chip up to 60 tonnes per hour giving a low per tonne cost.

Cord Wood Timber

We are able to offer a contract cord wood chipping service, and our high capacity machinery means we can chip up to 60 tonnes per hour giving a low per tonne cost of around £5.

If you have a store, we can chip directly into it, alternatively, we can chip into a trailer.  Our Mus Max chipper produces an even chip in G30 size aiding biomass burning.

Biomass Woodchip

We can offer even-sized G30 wood chip that is locally sourced, processed, and free from contaminants. We can also provide a bulk delivery service using tractors to access most sites throughout the year, and our push-off trailers means we can to deliver to fuel stores without tipping.

So whatever your fuel-store set up, we’re confident we can deliver directly to your door.

Brash Removal & Site Clearance

A full turnkey service. 

We use well maintained and good quality machines that able to cope with brash and site clearance residues.  Our tractors and trailers are fitted with low compaction tyres to reduce any site damage. We have designed our own six-pronged grab which means we can deal with logs and clear up brash cleanly, and can chip logs and whole trees up to 1.2 metres wide, anything larger can be taken to our yard to be split.

Our trailers have built-in weighing facilities and clean, high quality wood can be purchased.
